Mental Health Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, Postpartum/Prenatal Issues, and More

SMP_4376.JPG

Nice to meet you, I'm Jennifer

My mission as a counselor is to help you come home to your authentic self. Life’s stressors can pull us away from our values, our identity, and our sense of grounding. Together, we can create space to reconnect with what matters most to you.

My therapeutic style is relaxed, non-judgmental, and empowering. I believe you hold the wisdom you need, and my role is to support you as you uncover it. As a recipient of mental health counseling, I know how challenging life can be. My time as a yoga teacher taught me to value the mind–body connection. Sessions may incorporate breath work, mindfulness, or gentle movement when it feels helpful and comfortable for you.

I have experience working with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and postpartum issues. Most recently I’ve counseled families in strengthening their bond with their little ones. In addition, I’ve worked with college students navigating test anxiety, career decisions, ADHD challenges, family trauma, and more.

Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me with my husband and two kids. We love camping in the summer and fall, snowshoeing in the winter, and spending as much time as we can outdoors. Yoga continues to be essential to my own mental and physical well-being, and I love sharing that passion with others.

If this approach resonates with you, I’d be honored to work together. Let’s make it happen.

YOGA OFFERINGS

Jennifer is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and has been teaching since 2017. She makes it a priority to create an open, supportive, and welcoming class space for all.

Jennifer teaches Yoga for your Pelvic Floor on Fridays at 10 a.m. at Big Sky Wellness starting March 13. This class is designed to support anyone looking to strengthen and restore their pelvic floor and core—whether you’re recovering after childbirth (recent or years ago) or simply wanting to feel more grounded and strong. Build deep strength, improve posture and breath awareness, and learn mindful movement techniques that carry into daily life. Each class offers a supportive, empowering environment to help you feel more connected and confident in your body.

Investment in your wellness: $23 for a single class or $108 for six classes, to be used within three months. To join us, email Martina at martina@bigskywellnessmi.com.

Important note: While yoga is a wonderful addition to mental health therapy and can help support your therapeutic goals, it is not a substitute for mental health therapy. During this class, I am not working as a therapist but as a yoga teacher.
